Today we did one of the Summer Learning Journey activities. We found it on the summer learning journey site. Also I learnt that she is one of the fastest women in the world. Also next time I will try find a different site to work on.

  1. Kia ora Oshen,

My name is Olive and I’m one of the new blog commentators in the Kaikohekohe cluster this summer! I’m working the Teaser Week and I’m super excited to see all your blog activities!

Congratulations on completing your first blog post!
What a fantastic way to describe Shelly-Ann! I really like how you were very creative in your similes, and the bit about how she is both as tall as a giraffe and as small as a mouse, was extra funny! How did you find the activity? I think it looks super enjoyable! I noticed you also used PiktoChart as a template for your similes! Ka pai, I love that you did something different!

I challenge you to make up your own simile, where you describe yourself as an animal! I’ll have a go! Olive is as loud as a barking seal! Hahah, my friends say when I get excited I chat a lot! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Thank you for your great blog post and have fun completing the rest of the activities.

Feel free to check out my blog and get to know me a little better!

  2. Kia ora Oshen,

Merry Christmas! I hope you are having a great holiday so far :)

My name is Tayla and I am the Cluster Manager for the Summer Learning Journey in Kaikohekohe. I just wanted to pop in and say that it’s not too late to start the programme! You can find the activities here: https://sites.google.com/site/summerlearningjourney/weekly-activities

You can do any of the activities, so take a look at some of the options. I’m sure there will be something that you’ll find interesting to learn about.

I hope I get to read some of your work!

    Ngā mihi,
    Tayla
